In April 2020, SupplHi – the Vendor Management platform for industrial equipment and services – has been awarded for a second time over a 9 months period a Seal of Excellence by the European Commission (EC) within the Horizon 2020, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme.
The second Seal of Excellence has been awarded for the creation of the world’s first platform for shared evaluations on performance and ESG Sustainability of B2B and B2G industrial vendors, for Green and Sustainable Procurement.
The SupplHi platform will transform industrial B2B and B2G (€33 trillion at global level, or 19% of the world’s GDP in 2017) in a reputation economy where Buyer organizations can provide immediate evaluations on performances of a Vendor in terms of Quality, Delivery, Time, Sustainability, and Health & Safety aspects and share it with the rest of the network of Buyers.
Industrial players typically procure up to 80% of their revenues and – due to the lack of a shared information platform – the selection of Vendors is mainly price-driven, therefore making Green and Sustainable Procurement difficult – an important aspect of the delivery of the European Green Deal.
Furthermore, being an industry-wide customer satisfaction tool, SupplHi will allow Vendors to know where to improve to better satisfy industry needs and increase their competitiveness, also through Sustainability.
The application has been submitted by SupplHi in the context of the SME Instrument (grant only and blended finance) call H2020-EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020 (H2020-EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020-3) of 8 January 2020 in the area of EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020.
The Seal of Excellence is the high-quality label awarded to projects submitted to Horizon 2020 which were deemed to deserve funding but did not receive it due to budget limits.
